Great. An incredibly nice tall man had to wait because I didn't immediately answer the phone # I didn't know or see his text that went to the unknown message tab. He had the office call and I picked it up.
He graciously and quickly installed a new thermostat, non-WIFI, then set the auto feature and taught me how to operate it.
I need to say that in my frustration with the third time the WIFI thermostat malfunctioned, not due to user error, I was more than a bit fussy on the phone. They gave me time to simmer down and this calming man fixed the issue. So although it is frustrating to have your new, expensive system not work, it may just be a sign of the quality of electronic equipment in 2026 and not Valley Heating & Cooling ripping you off. In fact, now that I'm rational, I realize it is certainly not in their best interest to install crap equipment that causes them multiple trips. Had I been more rational yesterday, I might have seen that and just scheduled them to come. And we have been enjoying the speed our new HVAC heats up our fairly big old house, and equally quickly cools it down.
All the employees seem to be good at customer relation and I appreciate that effort.
Before you yell at them, think about how little it really helps the problem, and give them a chance. They don't build the equipment, just install and maintain it.
